2 rifles reported stolen from Paris residence turn up in possession of convicted felon

City of Reno logoSgt. Jeremy Massey of the Reno Police Department made an arrest of a convicted felon on Wednesday, seizing two rifles found in his possession.

Later in the day, Paris police officers responded about 7:15 p.m. to a call in the 3700 block of FM 195 where it was reported someone had stolen two rifles from a gun rack.

An investigation showed someone entered the residence through a window, Paris Police Department spokesman Curtis Garrett said.

Paris police officers then learned of the seizure of two rifles by Reno police, and it was determined the rifles were the ones taken in the burglary, Garrett said.

The investigation continues.
