Police and emergency personnel responded to a single car accident in about the 3900 block of Lamar Avenue on Tuesday at about 2 p.m., where a black Ford SUV had lost control and hit a light pole in a parking lot.

The driver, who personnel at the scene said was ‘okay’, was apparently heading east bound on Lamar when he lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV went through the ditch, into the parking lot and stopped after hitting the pole, knocking it to the ground.

Robert’s Wrecking Service towed the vehicle away, and the driver waited on someone to pick him up after the accident. No one was injured.
