A Paris resident called police on Tuesday after their child found what looked to be a possible human bone at their residence, according to Paris PD Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.
On February 6, officers responded to the 1500 block of NE 17th Street, where it was reported to officers that the child had found the bone in the backyard of the residence. The reporting person showed the officer an anatomy book and believed that it may be a metatarsal from a human foot.
According to Garrett, the bone was placed into evidence, however, there are no cases to link the bone to at this time.
While executing a search warrant in the 700 block of SW 41st Street on February 5, Paris PD Detectives arrested David Matthew Keller after he was found to be in possession of a crystal like substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine. Due to the amount that was possessed, Keller was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance — a second degree felony.
Paris Police responded to 107 calls for service on February 05, 2013 and arrested 6 persons.
